Sometimes it seems that nothing works. You may feel angry, sad, or out of control and need help to navigate through the rough times. I have been there! I was inspired to be a counselor by my own struggles with family codependency. There is hope! Through a combination of therapeutic techniques, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, reality, family systems, feminist, and humanistic therapies, I will help you identify what is holding you back. The goal is to provide you with the insights and tools you need to move beyond old, limiting beliefs and behaviors. I will provide dedicated, confidential listening to create a brighter future.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, races, and sexual orientations. I especially like children and teens. I can assist with parenting and weight issues and processing sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Furthermore, I have enjoyed working with the hearing impaired, CPS cases, and grief.
I am a former Montessori Elementary school teacher, and mother of three. I began Taekwondo after two attacks at the age of 18, and have loved it ever since. I also have a therapy dog for extra furry attention. I believe each client comes with strengths and endless possibility limited only by personal beliefs.
